Requirements for the position of EHS Specialist at Project site
EHS Specialist at Project site reports to EHS Officer in Back Office and performs work in according to Siemens guidelines and Local requirements.
The main goal is to ensure safe performance of Outage for all involved personnel (including contractors) by using existing provided tools by Siemens EHS Officer.
The list of activities on Site :
Giving safety instruction at the construction site to the personnel
Directly reporting to highest Supervisor on site;
Checking compliance with country-specific and Siemens-specific regulations applicable at the Project site by means of daily walk-
downs (site checklist);
Where necessary, stipulating measures, checking and documenting thereof;
Managing quick elimination of all non-conformances and potential dangerous situation;
Documenting non-conformances and primary hazards in the register;
Promoting prompt elimination of non-conformances by subcontractors and the Customer;
Ensuring and maintaining neatness at the Project site (routing cables and other
lines overhead, immediately cleaning up spilled liquids, keeping escape routes clear,
Providing support to the Outage Manager in monitoring coordination of activities relevant to safety that have a high hazard potential (for example, crane work, work in confined spaces, hot work such as cutting and welding, work at elevated workplaces, hot works, working at higher located places, scaffoldings);
Being a single representative for the Customer for all EHS related issues;
Closely cooperating with the customer’s Site HSE Coordinator;
Preparing accident reports at the Project site;
Compiling important records in a Site office HSE (organizational charts, alarm
plans, layout sketches, accident reports) transfer all data to the back office in the end of the Outage;
Monitoring the provision and correct handling and use of collective protection equipment and personal protective equipment;
Checking compliance with inspection intervals for tools (especially power driven tools e.g. electric, pneumatic, hydraulic), lifting gear, load attachment
rigging and other technical equipment (both in the case of Siemens and external manufactured);
Checking compliance with inspection intervals for first aid, alarm and fire protection
Checking compliance with regulations on the handling and storage of hazardous
Instructing and training employees in HSE topics within Toolbox Talks. Minimum twice a week or after any EHS related events;
Promote and support Shift lead in methodology of last minute risk analysis (Take Five)
Preparing of a weekly report (with provided form) and transmission to EHS department of Field Service (a copy to responsible PM and Outage manager);
Preparation of a final report at the end of revision incl. committing of all site relevant EHS documents to responsible supervisor (EHS-
Log, signature list, adjusted risk
Action in case of incidents :
Support in case of first aid for injured persons;
Report to the Outage manager and to EHS Officer in Back Office;
Collect the information and facts of accident environment for further analysis (pictures, descriptions, survey);
Support in evaluation of accidents, near misses as well as determine of measures and
their adequate documents to avoid them.

Experience of work in Power generation scope (e.g. Power plants, service companies).
Experience of work in foreign Company.
English language level intermediate.
