JOB DESCRIPTION : Primary Job Function :

Primary Job Function :

The position oversees and controls the warehousing, transport, domestic and import / export operations, customs clearance and full scope order entry management ensuring that the supply chain and customer service processes are managed in accordance with Abbott standards, in collaboration with corporate services (CFS, Procurement and regulatory), and that the deliveries are meeting customer requirements and demands.

Warehouse Management :

  • Oversees warehouse providers and operations ensuring that the warehouse is kept as per QA standards while complying with customers and business needs on warehouse management.
  • Ensure that products are properly stored and handles in accordance with product specifications, temperature requirements and QA guidelines.
  • Ensure warehouse effective utilization and safety.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is strictly observing and meeting the contract provisions and / or set guidelines.
  • Ensure that warehouse documentation is in place to support warehouse operations and stock movements.
  • Transport Management :

    Ensure that the freight / transport providers are strictly observing and meeting the contact provisions and / or set guidelines on inbound and outbound transportation.

    Importation and Exportation :

  • Oversees the importation and exportation activities of customs brokerage and forwarding companies.
  • Ensure that they are strictly observing contract provision and importation / exportation guidelines, compliant to code of business conduct and ethics, and legal requirements.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate closely with customs brokers, truckers / forwarders, Supply planning and order entry in managing direct deliveries to customer.
  • Maintain filing systems for accurate and systematic record keeping while ensuring alignment of systems to the requirements of CFS, QA and Customs Audits.
  • Ensure accuracy of all customer returns (tariff headings, duty rate, VAT, insurance, etc.) made to Customs and government entities on importation and exportation.
  • Project management :

  • Lead execution of projects relating to importation / exportation, inbound / outbound shipments, and storage.
  • Identify productivity improvements in warehouse and transport operations.
  • Lead information systems rollouts or modifications as OTC leader
  • Develop efficient method of demand planning, tracking cost, explain variances, and identify opportunity for savings.
  • Manage the projects for installment of Inventory Management Systems.
  • Material Management :

  • Ensure that records on goods receipts are posted in SAP.
  • Ensure that STO created and processed for instruments, service, spare parts and FOC (MIGO) in time
  • Ensure that the regular reports for material management processed accurately and in time.
  • Control over process of stock reconciliation.
  • Lead demand planning in collaboration with European Distribution Centre (Germany), commercial excellence, regulatory and finance.
  • Order Entry Management :

  • Supervise and work with order processing to ensure the integrity of the order entry process.
  • Ensure that all orders, backorders, return orders are properly collected, allocated and entered into IS accurately and in time.
  • Collaborate with customers to help solved their toughest changes.
  • Collaborate with EDC on better shelf life loading and with CFS on credit release check-up
  • Deliver the highest customers survey score.
  • Analyze errors and failures of orders to optimize the process.
  • Update order process, standard operating procedures, guidelines, instructions for specific business needs in accordance with Abbott BP and QA requirements.
  • Supervisory / Management Responsibilities :

  • To bring together all parts of logistics and order entry operations for delivery of operational excellence.
  • Promote positive work environment and collaborative attitude.
  • Focus on people development and succession planning.
  • Presents status and actions plans, reports exceptions on a timely manner, develop prevention and contingencies plans, communicate to Sales any product supply problems and find / recommend alternatives.
  • Manage contract of providers and lead tender process and bids when necessary. Check and ensure billings are per contract provision rate and, are complete and accurate prior to submission to finance.
  • Position Accountability / Scope :

  • Accountable for the mentioned above activities for the region Russia and CIS while leading team of professionals.
  • Direct reporting line to Financial Controller Russia and CIS.
  • Minimum Education :

    University degree in Logistics, Foreign Trade or Business Administration

    Minimum Experience / Training Required :

  • Proven 7 years+ working experience as logistic leader at international companies.
  • Confirmed record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, coach and manage staff, increase team capabilities and individuals’ contribution and pattern of behavior.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and business acumen skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and handle multiple projects.
  • Highly customer-oriented both internal and external.
  • Passionate, strong drive to deliver commitment.
  • High integrity.
  • Strong leadership and Interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected changes.
  • Proficiency in SAP as active user, strong computer skills Excel, Word.
  • Confident knowledge of English.
