Proactively plans and performs technical activities for deployment of CS Core equipment in to the Customer network. Prioritizes work based on customer impact and brings expertise to customer site on need basis.

Identifies and solves proactively demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders. Participates as an expert in own technology area in customer projects.

May support areas by participating in emergency and 24 / 7 duty. Is active in networking and knowledge sharing. Develops processes, tools and working methods

MS Office, Work on the command line (shell) and the text mode, the basic skills of programming in python and other languages.

Typically, 6-9 years relevant experience in Telecom Vendor or Telecom Operator. Key contributor, recognized specialist.

Knowledge of mobile telecommunication system functioning, 2G and 3G in 3GPP terms. Detailed knowledge of mobile switching equipment functioning and fluent navigation in related 3GPP specs.

Knowledge of hardware and software of mobile switching equipment, ATCA platform. Experience with Nokia MSS / MGW is desired.

Basic knowledges of transmission equipment, computer and networking technologies.

TCP / IP protocol stack knowledge.

WireShark, protocol analyzers knowledge (NetHawk for ex.).

Excellent communication skills.

Conduct preparation activities before project start, including, but not limiting :

Perform technical supervision for installation and commissioning work, provided by sub-contracting parties; perform verification of installation and commissioning.

  • Carry out pre-check of data builds for obvious mistakes in accordance with instructions and methodologies;
  • Carry out commissioning, configuration and integration works of CS Core equipment;
  • Carry out equipment integration to customers’ network elements in accordance with instructions and methodologies;
  • Carry out testing and acceptance of CS Core equipment. Handover network elements for customer acceptance in accordance with exiting procedures of testing and acceptance;
  • Carry out technical tasks of software updates / upgrades / maintenance, including network elements carrying out commercial traffic;
  • Carry out HW / SW troubleshooting, including errors diagnosis, alarms diagnosis and fault troubleshooting until the issue is resolved;
  • Document solutions, prepare working documentation in accordance with project procedures;
  • Carry out reconfiguration activities on live Customer network ensuring no impact on commercial traffic out of maintenance window.

    Perform regular reporting for on-going activities as defined by project team.

  • Be engaged as a technical expert within own competence for the internal and external consultations;
  • Perform new functionality testing and deployment on the equipment or in software.
