Position purpose :

  • The job holder ensures the effective execution of the services within the allocated HR Services organization as well as continuous process improvement and effective change management at the local level.
  • Major tasks and responsibilities of position :

  • The job holder provides operational leadership and coordination for local organization administrative, operational, process improvement and change activities in the country / country group.
  • He / she is familiar with the key Bayer HR and processes and functions of the organization and ensures that these are taken into account at the local level.

  • Proactively work with the local and global HR community locally to convert strategy, policy, systems, tools and processes into the associated organization and services for country / country group.
  • Proactively identify service delivery issues and take appropriate action to resolve; align with other HR Services Managers to provide integrated service;
  • promote performance improvement initiatives based on local needs and global structure.

  • Market the associated organization to the staff and management of the local HR organization to build acceptance and encourage confidence in the organization.
  • Ensure efficiency and reduction of complexity by standardization and the use of best practice in service delivery for the associated organization based on global framework.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards within the associated organization. Ensure appropriate metrics (including third party KPIs) for local organization in line with global governance.
  • Manage daily service operations and projects, responding to service demands as they arise (e.g. volume of calls, staff absence, e-mail queries, etc.).
  • Ensure the implementation of local norms and laws in relation to HR administrative processes and systems (e.g. payroll).
  • Ensure proper budget performance and alignment.
  • Ensure local support and knowledge for incident / problem management for local topics based on global steering and rules.
  • Is the first contact regarding the organizations service within a country / country group.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management across the associated organization and systems locally.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer of best practice from and to the global organization / community.
  • Has clear overview about changes, project requests and developments within a country and coordinates as needed.
  • Supervises prioritized projects and services in the region and supports the project / service team.
  • This position acts as mentor / coach and people manager for the local HR Services Associate, local HR Services (Senior) Professional allocated to him / her.
  • Set targets for the team in terms of behavior, performance and development; perform salary review.
  • Manage internal and external associated staff (recruit, on board, motivate, develop, determine merit and identify talent) in line with the Bayer LIFE values.
  • Establish a work culture within the associated organization that promotes teamwork and sharing within HR Services globally and partnering with stakeholders based on global governance.
  • Ensure proper succession management and skill assessment of workforce within the associated organization.
  • Qualifications :

  • Education Preferably a university degree or equivalent, especially with the main focus on Human Resources. Alternatively an equivalent progressive working experience.
  • English language should be fluent both in the spoken and written form, plus local / regional language requirements.

  • Skills / experiences Several years of experience in Human Resources. This should also include several years of management experience.
  • Proven experience with leading major projects and developing strong working relationships with stakeholders, the HR community and customers.

    Detailed understanding of HR processes & systems. Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff, including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders.

    Experienced in multidisciplinary project management as well as change management. Experience working and collaborating within a global organization and multicultural environment.

    Strong customer orientation and service delivery management. Willingness to take on responsibility and be resourceful (using a wide-

    range of information sources). Specific experience in Customer Service and HR process design, transaction support, and employee administration.

    Demonstrated ability to provide local leadership in a global team environment. Team-oriented leadership skills honed through experience with senior management.

    Experience with guiding and coaching staff development.
