Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Structural Designer with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
This position will report directly to Lead Civil Structural Designer. At this time, applications from Russian citizens only will be only considered.

Accountable to the project SEIC Lead Civil / Structural Designer. For all relevant design aspects of the Civil & Structural workscopes.
Basic functions To provide proficient PDMS CAD designer skills for the Civil & Structural group. Be proficient in the use of PDMS.
To carry out document searches via UNICA and Documentum. To become proficient in the understanding of and usage of Company and Client standards, procedures and practices.
To prepare Material Take-off’s and Bill of Materials. Undertake Offshore Survival and Skyscape (training will be provided, if required).
Support the Civil & Structural Group offshore survey effort with offshore surveys, if required.
Skills / Qualifications
Self-motivated individual, able to work in both small and large engineering team environments. Able to provide innovative, fit for purpose, solutions whilst meeting basic client engineering requirements.
Ability to manage more than one project at a time. Primary Steel and Structural Design. Project Scopes (EPC, FEED, Revamp).
Materials of Construction. Constructability Experience. The candidate should have an Adequate’ command of the English language.
English training will be provided. Be capable of designing fit-for-purpose solutions and be innovative and creative. Required to work in a multi-
disciplinary team Able to communicate / interface with project team and engineering personnel. An Engineering Degree / Diploma in Civil / Structural preferred but pre-
requisite experience will be considered. Experience in : 6+ years’ experience in the Structural field. 1+ years’ experience on Drilling Assets required.
Oil and Gas engineering required preferably brownfield. Conceptual, Front End and Detailed Design experience required. Shell DEP experience preferred.
Experience in onshore / offshore projects in Russia, cold / remote regions is advantageous. Field experience in construction strongly preferred.
Experience in an Engineering Design company / Russian Design Institute desirable Additional experience of an Civil / Structural construction environment would be an advantage as is any formal qualification in the oil & gas industry.
