The role is based within Moscow IT Department and is part of global Finance and Cross-Business IT team.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support for the applications within the Finance IT team’s remit, involving the provision of first line and / or second line technical support in order to ensure the continued smooth running of the application services.
As part of the team and individually the job holder will be expected to carry out the investigation, analysis, business interaction, design, development, testing and documentation required to resolve incidents and implement enhancements and new products in the applications.
Primarily, this role will be focused on the Nostradamus XBRL reporting, though there will be involvement with other applications as required Microsoft Dynamics NAV, possible DWH.
React in a timely manner in order to resolve application incidents by investigating and resolving the underlying cause or providing a workaround for the department’s applications landscape
Proactively address issues likely to disrupt application services.
Understand the business requirement and functional specifications and translating these into technical solutions.
Work closely with end users to understand their requirements as well as consulting on technical and systems issues.
Provide system and technical analysis to transform business requirements into technical specifications.
Provide analysis of data and reporting flows from source systems (front, front-to-back, GL) to reporting applications.
Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues / problems.
Participate and assist in data model design process as required.
Provide Deployment / Release of new code versions.
Assist with the technical guidance and training of other staff members as required.
Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team.
Participate in team meetings and help define best practices and processes.
Create complete and well written usage documentation.
Review and provide feedback on project plans, development and test specifications.
To work in cooperation with other members of the IT team to support various other applications.
To liaise with various vendor technical resources to track and manage the resolution of system enhancements and fixes.
To produce written documentation relating to any new system amendment
Organise the controlled installation, testing and implementation of third-party software upgrades for all systems owned by the section, in accordance with relevant departmental procedures.
To organise and monitor the testing of any new or amended computer system as a whole; to ensure system integrity; to implement and continue to maintain the said system.
The job holder will be expected to work with minimal supervision, reporting as required to the Head of the Finance IT Moscow and to co-ordinate with other team members in the IT Department.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
Tracking / analysis of CB RF documents to change the rules for reporting (XBRL taxonomy)
Sound understanding of investment banking requirements and processes.
Experience in supporting back-office applications.
Experience in development and support of Business intelligence technologies (Business objects, Microsoft BI, or similar)
Experience with data warehousing concepts.
Demonstrable ability to communicate requirements effectively.
Experience writing deployment and installation scripts for enterprise applications.
Experience with Business Objects, SQL Analysis Services, and other reporting and contact centre software solutions a plus.
Experience of working with banking system.
Ability to design, organise, and implement module, perform system-testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system.
Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems.
Ability to demonstrate reasonable technical knowledge of PC’s, networks, and PC applications including MS-Windows, MS Office, MS Exchange & Outlook together with ability to effectively use MS-Office tools.
Good written and verbal skills including the ability to produce technical and user documentation.
Good understanding of systems analysis and programming techniques.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience of working across a number of systems and technical platforms with strong data analysis skills would be an advantage.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
