We are looking for applicants with operational, long term planning and mine design experience to help lead our mining services.
The job will expose the successful candidate to a wide range of projects and it will be common to be working on several projects concurrently.

Whilst SRK aims to provide a strongly supportive technical atmosphere, the nature of consulting can sometimes require extra effort (out of hours work) from team members to meet deadlines or to accommodate travel requirements.
Essential Requirements :
At least 10 years post-graduate experience in the mining industry
Good operational experience with open pits and ideally with some combined mining experience
Experience with a range of commodities and deposit types
Knowledge of specialized mining software such as Micromine, Datamine, Surpac NPV Scheduler, Ventsim, Whittle etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in long term planning and mine design
Knowledge of Russian and international standards applicable to projects at various stages, from exploration to commissioning
Basic knowledge of associated disciplines such as geology, hydrogeology, geomechanics, mineral processing and environment
Degree or equivalent in a mining related subject
Experience gained in an international environment is a plus.
Making project decisions and being responsible to the client and the company management
Project planning discussions and negotiations with clients
Managing and consulting work as part of mine design and optimization
Managing multi-disciplinary studies
Managing and developing Consultant and Senior level staff
Representing SRK professionally, to SRK’s clients and interfacing at all levels with the client’s management and operations (and those of their other consultants);
Business development, including the generation of business from new and existing clients.

Primarily work in the office based in central Moscow, Russia
Travel to mining operations in Russia and abroad
The normal working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday 10 : 00 to 19 : 00 with one hour lunch. However, there will be the need for working flexible hours to meet deadlines.
